Lauren and I share more than 20+ years of friendship, so when she and her now husband, Andrew, announced their engagement, I was more than happy for the couple. My excitement only grew when she asked me if I’d help with her wedding invitations. She had already had an idea of what she had wanted but was open to my interpretations.

The final wedding invites were designed to include illustrative flower motifs, a mix of typewriter and calligraphy fonts, and a peach, light evergreen, gold, and gray color palette. All invites were wrapped together in twine and slipped into a craft envelope.

The same illustration style was applied to her bachelorette party invite, which also doubled as a 30th birthday celebration. Many of the elements used in this invite were again carried over to an after party announcement, with turn-by-turn directions and a stylized map on the back.
